Recently I decided to renew my Flickr account that had gone dormant last November. It's not that I didn't want to use the site anymore, it's just that sometimes an extra $25 is really hard to find. You know how it is.
Once I was able to get back into my account all my old pictures were available to me again, and it's been so fun to look back -- even though they were available until Nov I hadn't actually looked at them in a couple years.
I found a folder of photos from childhood that I had scanned in for Facebook, back when scanning in childhood photos for Facebook was the thing to do. I'm the first born so it was just me & my mom and dad back then. My dad was into photography so I'm lucky that there's so many pictures of us.
These were taken in the summer of 1980 & 1981 in our backyard in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Me & my mama.

They're so beautiful.
They make me think about how I maybe don't spend enough one on one time with each child. And I want to. I'm going to make it a point. I feel like my oldest especially, even though she had me all to herself for a few years... I feel like I just don't spend enough time with her. I expect too much of her. Shes not as grown up as I think she is.
